Lambton Quay Tower

Wellington, 2016
The studio involved intense making of physical objects, developed through the manipulation of materials. The design was then informed by material dynamics as much as conventions of programme; drawing architectural space directly from simple performances that occur in designing. The aesthetic outcome is direct from the research exploration of 3D printing flexible forms in which human interaction can occur. The method of 3D printing was used not as an outcome, but as a form for human manipulation outside of the digital, which lead to a final physical model as an architectural outcome.
